Acceptance of these terms
plain english: using the site means you’re in
By using educationalmugs.com (the “Site”), requesting a quote, or buying from Lesson Mugs LLC (“we,” “us”), you agree to these Terms of Service and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site. Lesson Mugs LLC is a Wyoming LLC formed in Wyoming. 145 Christie St, Leonia, NJ 07605, US is its operational and customer-service address, not its state of formation.
You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to place an order. If you order on behalf of a school or organization, you confirm you’re authorized to bind it.
What we do
mugs with real lessons on them, fired in new jersey
We design, print, and sell stoneware mugs illustrated with educational material, direct and wholesale. The Site is a catalog and quote desk — there are no user accounts and no checkout cart; orders are confirmed by quote and invoice.
We keep the Site available on a best-efforts basis. It may be unavailable during maintenance or the occasional kiln-side mishap, and we don’t guarantee 100% uptime.
Quotes, pricing & payment
a quote is a promise for 30 days
All prices are in U.S. dollars and include the gift box. Written quotes are valid for 30 days. Sales tax is added where New Jersey or your state requires it. Payment is due per the terms on your invoice; schools may use purchase orders on net-30 terms.
If we ever misprice something, we’ll contact you and honor the lower price or cancel with a full refund — your choice. We never take card numbers on this Site. Online card payment is planned, not live: after you approve a written USD quote, a future full-page Stripe-hosted Checkout would collect that amount. Lesson Mugs LLC does not claim PCI DSS certification, a completed SAQ, an AOC, or a QSA assessment.
Orders & fulfillment
out the door in 48 business hours
Orders leave our workshop at 145 Christie St, Leonia, NJ within 48 business hours of confirmation, and you’ll get a tracking number the moment the label prints. Risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the address you gave us — but if anything arrives broken, our Shipping & Returns policy (DOC LM-S1) has you covered with a free replacement.
Curriculum accuracy
fact-checked by people who grade papers
Every design is fact-checked by working teachers before firing. If we still got a fact wrong, tell us — we’ll correct the design and send you the corrected reprint free. The wrong one becomes a collector’s item.
That said, the mugs are educational illustrations, not textbooks, and we don’t warrant them as a substitute for coursework, lab manuals, or studying.
Wholesale & classroom orders
trays of twelve, invoices on net-30
Classroom and wholesale orders are quoted in trays of twelve through the quote form. We accept school purchase orders and invoice on net-30 terms. Educator discounts (DOC LM-E1) can’t be stacked with promo codes, and custom curriculum designs are quoted case by case.
Intellectual property
the chalk work is ours; the math belongs to everyone
The Site, the Lesson Mugs name and logo, the mug artwork and compositions, and all copy are owned by Lesson Mugs LLC. You get a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to browse the Site and buy our products.
Please don’t copy our artwork or product designs, scrape the Site, or use our name and logo without written permission. Kepler’s laws themselves, of course, remain anyone’s to print.
Acceptable use
don’t be the reason we extend this list
You agree not to:
- Break the law, or help anyone else break it
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-copy the Site without permission
- Probe, attack, or interfere with the Site or its security
- Impersonate a person, school, or organization
- Infringe anyone’s intellectual property
- Resell our products as your own brand without authorization
Privacy
the short version: we collect almost nothing
Our Privacy Policy (DOC LM-P1) explains what we collect and your rights under GDPR and CCPA/CPRA, and our Cookie Policy (DOC LM-C1) explains Termly essential storage and optional tools such as tawk.to. By using the Site you acknowledge both.
Disclaimers
ceramics vary; websites too
The Site and our products are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Hand-finished stoneware varies slightly from piece to piece — that’s the craft, not a defect. Nothing in this section limits rights that can’t be limited under New Jersey consumer-protection law.
Limitation of liability
capped, like a good mug
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lesson Mugs LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Site or our products is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $100 USD if you’ve bought nothing.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow these limits; where that’s the case, this section applies only as far as the law allows.
Indemnification
your misuse is your bill
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lesson Mugs LLC from claims, damages, and expenses arising from your misuse of the Site, your violation of these terms, or your violation of anyone else’s rights. If a claim lands, we may take over its defense, with your reasonable cooperation.
Disputes
talk to us first — a human answers
If something goes wrong, email records@educationalmugs.com or call +1 (551) 348-8301 first. We’ll try to resolve it informally within 30 days, and we fix nearly everything within a day.
If informal resolution fails, these customer terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, and disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts of New Jersey — or in small-claims court, where that’s an option. That contract forum does not change the fact that Lesson Mugs LLC is a Wyoming LLC formed in Wyoming. Either of us may go to small claims without going through the informal step first. Nothing here waives mandatory consumer protections that cannot lawfully be waived.
Changes to these terms
30 days’ notice for anything material
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes get at least 30 days’ notice — posted prominently on the Site, and emailed to anyone with an open order or subscription. The date at the top always shows the current version, and continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept it.
General provisions
the housekeeping clause
These terms, plus the Privacy Policy and any written quote, are the entire agreement between us. If part of them is found unenforceable, the rest stands. Our not enforcing a right once doesn’t waive it. We may assign these terms in a merger or sale; you may not assign them without our consent. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency, or employment relationship. Headings are for convenience. You consent to doing business with us electronically.
